Obituary for Mule Murphy
Ellin "Mule" Murphy, 87, of Durant, MS, passed away on Sunday March 12, 2023.
Ellin, who was known as Mule by his family and friends, was a truck driver for Mid State Paving, and was a member of Tishomingo County Baptist Church.
Mule is survived by his wife Betty Brooks Murphy of Durant, his daughters Theresa Murphy of Jackson, MS, Rhonda Shelton of Huntsville, AL, and Monica Sheats of Decatur, AL. He is also survived by his brothers James B. Murphy of Meridian, MS, and John R. Murphy of Pascagoula, MS, and three granddaughters, and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 16, 2023 with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. and the funeral services at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Durant, with burial in Mizpah Cemetery in Durant.
